MEET MIA

With 25 years in the beauty industry, I bring a unique blend of creative artistry and financial expertise to the table. I spent my childhood in and out of my family members salons, then began taking my first paying clients in my parents living room at the age of 14! From there I’ve spent 6 foundational years in a salon, 2 years working in the theater and have mastered nearly every area under the cosmetology umbrella- including hair, wig styling, nails, brows, lashes and barbering.

For the past 15 years, I’ve thrived as a professional hairstylist in TV and film, working on major productions such as but not limited to: Sparkle, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Originals-the Vampire Diaries spinoff, Sleepy Hollow, Black Lightning, Them, Will Trent and Tell me Lies. I’ve been apart of two Emmy-nominated hair teams and have had the pleasure of being a stylist to talents such as Nicole Beharie, China McClain and many others.

Despite working alongside many other artists who lived in the lap of luxury, I consistently saw that financial stability wasn’t always part of the picture. That realization fueled my passion to educate fellow beauty professionals on how to build real, lasting financial health. Over the last 2 years, I’ve transitioned into the mission of empowering others through financial literacy. Now trained in personal taxes and a Financial Counselor, I’m combining my deep industry experience with the tools to help beauty pros thrive- both creatively and financially.
